Forgetting You

It was an arduous task
But I had to wear the mask…
Leaving behind my past
In trying to be fast…

Carrying the burden of sentiments
& juggling with amorous thoughts
Laborious to be engrossed…
From dawn to dusk

Reading the books…
I glanced through those days
Yearning for your aura
Every moment, every day

Writing the solutions…
I recoiled the pain
Persevering to inscribe
Those words of desire & delight

Walking through the path
& longing for the light
That illuminated the trail
Leaves fell down upon my broken spirit in vain

Just as I lurked in my rosy past
Stars twinkled in the gloomy eyes
That reflected my frail frame
& miracle happened another time

Overlooking the transience of days gone by
Transcendent was the luminance
That had newly arrived…
Giving me a new frame in my sprightly eyes

WOW, dude not joking but this is simply superb.
And I love the optimism flowing at the ending stanzas; its beautiful and signifies the fact that you wrote this with your heart and not your brain. This makes it all the more special...
Yearning for more of these..
