FREEDOM
Looking at the open sky
I feel like a bird that can fly
But my enclosure doesn’t comply
With my longing for the endless sky
I crave for the liberty
…liberty to explore
…liberty to implore
…liberty to look at the world with nothing at stake
I beg for the rights…
…right to eat
…right to drink
…right to earn a living in this world of human beings
I yearn for the needs…
…need to protect
…need to hide
…need to feel safe in this society of pride
Waiting for someone to open the door
Allowing me to move on every floor
Under the glow of every moon
& the sun-bathed noon…
